What your kids really want for Christmas ...

Every year at this time, children around the world get excited over Christmas and Santa Claus. Christmas seems to be a magical time, regardless of your religion.

Whether you believe in Santa Claus or not, or if you're three years old or 83, Santa is bound to put a smile on your face.

To help bring some cheer to parents, ParenThots presents your children's letters to Santa Claus:

Dear Santa,

My name is Joachim Joshua Arvind but I am fondly known as Josh. I am 11 years old. When I grow up I want to be a veterinary surgeon because of my love for animals.

Since it is the school holidays, my mum has been taking me to an animal shelter to help out as a volunteer. I would bathe, groom and feed the dogs and cats. I love being with them.

My Christmas wish is to be able to help more animals that are in need. My daily prayers every night ask God to guide and save all the animals in this world from being abused, tortured, neglected and starving.

Merry Christmas, Santa!

Yours truly,
Joachim Joshua Arvind, 11

Hi Santa,

My name is Sanusha and I am 12 years old. I always wanted to contact you but I have not been able to find a way. I was very surprised when my mum told me to write a letter to you. In my letter, I will introduce myself and tell you what I really want this Christmas.

To me, you are a superhero who can do anything. There's nothing much to talk about me. I am just a child and I have a few things that I really want.

This is my wish list:

I want a chance to meet you and your elves at the North Pole.

I would like to become a famous superstar for a day.

I want to make my mum and dad happy and smiling always.

I really want your autograph.

I think that's a lot. My mum told me that if you chose my letter, I would get a surprise gift. I really look forward to finding out who is the special child to win your heart. I am so sorry because I do not know how to draw. This is my drawing of you in my imagination:

Anyway Santa, I wish you a Merry Christmas! Have a nice day.

Dear Santa,

What I want this year for Christmas is the 'Baby Alive'. It's a toy baby. But this one can really eat and drink and potty and poop, too! Please, I really want that. Thank you!

Merry Christmas!

Hi Santa,

My name is Shamimi. I am four years old and I go to kindergarten near my house. I often hear about Santa from friends and from reading books. They say Santa is kind. I have been watching a television programe about Christmas where Santa rides the reindeer and flies through the air distributing gifts to all children.

I have a good heart like Santa, too. Heh heh. I also love to help my parents at home in addition to playing with my brother and sister.

I hope Santa will be giving presents to children all over the world!

Dear Santa Claus,

How are you? I cannot believe that I am writing a letter to my dream Santa Claus. My mummy is my fake Santa Claus every Christmas and I can also see the fake Santa Claus in shopping malls every December.

I like your clothings and your hat. I like Christmas because I enjoy carolling. I hope that I can see you personally and hug you tight. My mummy will prepare a big Chrismas stocking to put my present. I love my mummy and also Santa Claus.

If I were able to see you, please allow me to kiss you and do remember to bring me a small gift. It could be anything as long as it is from you. I believe your hometown is cold now. Please prepare yourself and come to Malaysia to see me. My name is Hazel Ho. I am 5 years old now. When you are ready, please contact my mummy.
