popstar Rain may just make a comeback to television.
Rain is reportedly in talks to star in an upcoming TV drama, the SBS rom-com Song For You, to be aired in September.
If singer-turned-actor Rain makes a TV comeback with the drama Song For You, it will be his first in four years since R2B: Return To Base. The 32-year-old star gained acclaim for his acting skills in the rom-com Full House, which earned him a top acting award in 2004.
Set in the showbiz industry, Song For You will portray a romance between a would-be singer and the CEO of an entertainment agency, played by Rain. Industry insiders say the hunky star is a perfect fit for the role as the singer is running his own label.
Rain’s comeback comes after he was hit hard by a controversy over his misbehaviour while on mandatory military duty and a series of legal battles involving his fashion business and real estate. Most recently, he came under the spotlight for alleged tax evasion.
