Carmen Bicondova plays a young Catwoman in 'Gotham'.
Prior to the launch of its new fall series, Fox has unveiled a teaser focusing on the villains of Gotham.
The prequel to Batman’s adventures, Gotham shows a young Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) who has just lost his parents, but it mostly concentrates on Commissioner James Gordon, played by Ben McKenzie (The OC), and his partner, Harvey Bullock, played by Donald Logue.
“He’s a truly honest man. The last honest man in a city full of crooked people,” said McKenzie on his character in an Entertainment Weekly interview.
“It’s very tricky nowadays to play a true, honest-to-goodness hero. Everybody is so cynical of people’s intentions... His journey will be to figure out how to make it better both for Gotham and himself without completely (losing) the moral standing that he has.
“He’s not an anti-hero, he’s a true hero – but he will have to compromise... How does he hold onto the thread of his morality while getting things done?”
After unveiling a first trailer a few weeks ago, Fox has now uploaded a new teaser focusing on the series’ bad guys. It features a young Catwoman (Carmen Bicondova), the early stages of the Penguin’s criminal career (Robin Lord Taylor) as well as Fish Moon, played by Jada Pinkett Smith.
This cast of super villains also includes Cory Michael Smith and Clare Foley, who play the parts of E. Nygma and Poison Ivy respectively. They do not feature in this teaser, however.
Gotham Season One will have 16 episodes. — AFP Relaxnews
