In her first TV role, Halle Berry will headline the sci-fi series Extant, premiering on CBS this summer in the United States.
The first footage released from the network features the actress in the role of Molly, an astronaut.
Extant will focus on an astronaut’s troubled period of readjustment upon returning to Earth.
Berry will play the title character, who struggles to reconnect with her loved ones after spending an entire year in outer space.
In addition, Molly is seen coping with mysterious events related to her latest mission that threaten to change the course of history.
According to the new 30-second teaser, Molly finds upon her return from space that she is pregnant, although she was previously told she could not bear children.
Goran Visnjic (ER) and Grace Gummer (American Horror Story) also appear in this science-fiction series produced by Steven Spielberg. – AFP Relaxnews
