No prizes for guessing which one of these ladies from 'Call The Midwife' is Miranda Hart. She's with her shorter co-stars (from left) Helen George, Jessica Raine and Bryiny Hannah.
Towering Call The Midwife actress wishes for days when she wasn't the odd one out.
Miranda Hart, who plays the clumsy but lovable Chummy on the wildly popular Call The Midwife, stands at 182cm and says she had her days when she longed to be petite and graceful.
“At one point you wish you were the beautiful one at school because things seem to come easy to those girls,” she says.
“And now I look back and I think, ‘Thank you, God, I never was that,’ because I think I had to rely on wit, and I had to rely on other things ... It’s good that life doesn’t come easy, I think. Of course, there’s a period where you want to be the pretty – the pretty little thing.
“But then I’ve turned 40 now and reckon I got used to being me at 39. Yeah, it did take a while ... All my girlfriends seem to be 152cm, for some reason. So you just felt odd. You didn’t feel like normal. But I now love that and embrace that.” – McClatchy-Tribune Information Services
