Mariah Carey is set to perform in Malaysia again.
The powerhouse vocalist is set to hold her second concert in Kuala Lumpur in October.
Global R&B and pop sensation Mariah Carey is slated to perform in Stadium Merdeka, Kuala Lumpur, on Oct 22 at 8pm.
The #Beautiful hitmaker, who last performed in the country in 2004, has chosen KL as the first Asian stop of her world tour. She will head to Singapore, Philippines, China and Japan after that.
Me. I Am Mariah Live In Malaysia 2014 is part of an initiative to promote the singer’s 14th studio album, Me. I Am Mariah... The Elusive Chanteuse, released earlier in May.
“Malaysian fans can prepare themselves for a great time as the unparalleled American songstress showers her love, greatest hits and remarkable new singles to millions of people who have adored her widely acclaimed songs,” said concert promoter IME Productions in a press statement.
The American singer, who is known for her five-octave vocal range, shot to fame with the release of her debut single Vision Of Love in 1990. Carey has since amassed 18 No.1 hits including All I Want For Christmas Is You, Always Be My Baby, Hero, One Sweet Day, Without You and We Belong Together. She has also picked up five Grammys and has sold over 250 million albums to date.
The ticket launch for the concert will be held on Aug 17, at Paradigm Mall in Kelana Jaya, Selangor, 11am to 7pm. Tickets are priced at RM680 (numbered seating), RM580 (numbered seating), RM480 (numbered seating), RM380 (numbered seating), RM250 (free seating) and RM120 (free seating).
