Win Malaysia Women Marathon 2014 passes from Capital FM.
THE Malaysia Women Marathon 2014 (MWM 2014) is all about “sole sisters”. The three-day marathon event (race, workshops, etc), which is set to take place at Dataran Kemerdekaan, Shah Alam in Selangor (March 14-16), encourages women to come together andpush each other to go the distance.
The actual marathon happens on March 16. This is a marathon where they can meet female running legends and be inspired by them.
This year’s theme is catered to women being resilient in breaking barriers.
Kenyan champion marathon runner Catherine Ndereba, 41, will be MWM 2014’s guest runner.
MWM 2014 workshops will be conducted by Ndereba, who won the Boston marathon four times and was twice a gold medalist at the IAAF World Athletics Championship.
She was also a silver medallist for marathon events in the 2004 and 2008 Olympic Games.
In 2001 to 2002, Ndereba was the world record holder in women’s marathon.
Her journey to becoming a world champion is a powerful story of her being a mother first and how she had to balance all that was needed in life to surpass the obstacles to emerge as a champion, not once but many times.
Capital FM (88.9FM in the Klang Valley) is giving its listeners the chance to be a part of this event. Simply be the first caller through to answer a multiple-choice question on Capital FM’s The Jam Break with Non and Isabel (weekdays, 4pm-8pm).
