A press release from film distributor GSC Movies reports that Taiwanese diva Tian Xin was in Ipoh, Perak, to shoot a scene for King Of Mahjong.
Her role is said to be a cameo and that she’d be sharing the scene with Hong Kong comedian Chapman To and Malaysian actor Frankie Lee.
The actress, known for her more sombre roles, was reported saying she looks forward to her role in the comedy, as it is a complete opposite to what she has done so far.
Meanwhile, Lee – better known as Uncle Frankie – is the 74-year-old who shot to fame after playing the bride’s father in The Journey. He's playing Tian Xin’s dad.
King Of Mahjong, presented by ZingShot Productions, produced by Clover Films and distributed by GSC Movies, is scheduled to open early next year.
