First Look: The Equalizer

The 1980s TV series comes to the big screen.

DIRECTOR Antoine Fuqua and actor Denzel Washington bring the 1980s TV series (which starred Edward Woodward) to the big screen.

Woodward’s character Robert McCall was a no-nonsense dude who looked grim all the time and his best friend was a gun.

Washington’s McCall is a former black ops commando who fakes his death so he can live a quiet life in Boston.

But then he comes out of his self-imposed retirement to rescue a young girl (Chloë Grace Moretz).

Soon, he comes face-to-face with ultraviolent Russian gangsters and his desire for justice is reawakened. Then, he becomes The Equalizer to help those in need.

Scheduled to open on Sept 25.
