The novel to be the US author’s second book in 2014, after Mr. Mercedes in June.
THE second Stephen King (pic) novel due in 2014 will trace the convergent paths of an apostate church minister and a worn-out, drug-addicted guitarist.
Due Nov 11, Revival will follow the publication of Mr. Mercedes in June.
Main character Jamie Morton is a wandering guitarist in his mid-30s, washed up after getting hooked on heroin, and struggling to come to terms with a family tragedy.
In his youth, he’d idolised a local minister, Charles Jacobs, but the reverend was run out of town after denouncing his beliefs in tragic circumstances.
“Their bond becomes a pact beyond even the Devil’s devising,” teases Stephen King’s website, “and Jamie discovers that revival has many meanings.” – AFP Relaxnews
