Do we need freedom to be creative? Or can creativity be freeing?
IT can be argued that the one thing binding all literature together is the ability to add a voice to the ever-present cultural conversation. Why, then, should that conversation be restricted to just a few? Certainly, the Edinburgh World Writers’ Conference (EWWC) seems to be one way to allow for more voices worldwide to have their say; the travelling conference brings writers from all over the world together to paint a picture of the role of literature today.
