Japanese Fortune 500 developer Daiwa House Industry Co Ltd (Daiwa) recently signed an agreement with Malaysia’s property-construction powerhouse, Sunway Group, to undertake a study to examine the feasibility of selling and manufacturing prefabricated or industrialised housing in Malaysia.

The agreement is the first step towards establishing a development and manufacturing partnership between the two corporations. Both parties will jointly identify a potential site within the next six months to build the first showcase residential development in Malaysia.
