THE franchise industry in Malaysia is expected to show positive growth over the next few years as more people are aware that franchising is the fastest way to get into business.

Former Malaysian Franchise Association (MFA) chairman Abdul Malik Abdullah said the industry has been growing at a rapid pace of 12 to 15% in the past five years following the Government’s efforts in emphasising the need to go into franchising and the launch of the National Franchise Blueprint (NFB) in January last year.
