Harsh Indonesian plantation law may not be reality


KUALA LUMPUR: RHB Research Institute believes the possibility that Indonesia will limit foreign ownership in plantations to not more than 30% is unlikely to happen.

It said on Monday it viewed a report that Indonesia is drafting a new bill to limit foreign ownership in plantations as a negative for Indonesia's long-term sector growth prospects.
