KUALA LUMPUR: Maybank Investment Bank Research is retaining its Neutral outlook on the plantations sector as it lacks short-term catalysts. However, the key upside risk to its view is the development of a strong El Niño and war.
It said on Wednesday the second quarter plantation profits will be stronger on-year boosted by strong FFB output and higher crude palm oil average selling price (ASP).
