KUALA LUMPUR: AmResearch is retaining its Overweight recommendation on the Malaysian automotive sector with a Buy on MBM Resources and APM as sentiment perks up with Perodua's launch of a new variant for its MyVi recently.
It said on Thursday the new MyVi was the cheapest variant offered for the model. The new MyVi XT is priced between RM41,900 and RM45,400 compared with RM44,900 and RM48,4000 (6.2% to 6.7% cheaper) for the 1.3 litre SE variant.
