KUALA LUMPUR: Alliance Research said UMW Holdings turned in a disappointing 3QFY13 and 9MFY13 results which were below its and consensus estimates.
It said on Friday UMW’s automotive business was the main drag on earnings, as Toyota saw a 17% on-year decline in vehicle sales owing to stiff competition and a run-out of the old Vios model.
