Jaya Tiasa plywood exports soar on cut in anti-dumping duty


KUCHING: Jaya Tiasa Holdings Bhd’s plywood exports to South Korea has soared following a cut in anti-dumping duties from 6.43% to 3.08%.

In the 12 months to June 30, 2015 (FY2015), the Sibu-based timber company’s plywood shipments to South Korea surged by 11% year-on-year. South Korea emerged as the group’s largest export destination, accounting for 40% of its total exports in US dollar terms.
