BMW Group Malaysia appoints new MD

KUALA LUMPUR: BMW AG has appointed Han Sang Yun as the new managing director and chief executive officer for BMW Group Malaysia from Jan 1, 2016.

In a statement on Friday, the company said Han's appointment follows the retirement of incumbent Alan Harris.

"Han has over 20 years of experience in the automotive industry in (South) Korea," the company said.

BMW AG said Han was most recently the head of sales for the BMW Group in (South) Korea and was also resposible for marketing and product management for the premium automaker in the country.

"Han will be applying his wealth of experience to further drive the BMW Group in the Malaysia premium automotive segment and to identify new opportunities for growth in tandem with Malaysia's ambition to be an automotive hub in the South-East Asian region," it noted. - Bernama
