HONG KONG: PetroChina Co, the country’s biggest oil and gas producer, posted an 81% slump in third-quarter profits, missing estimates, as a plunge in crude prices punished revenues.
Net income was 5.2 billion yuan (US$818mil), or 0.03 yuan per share, compared with 27.9 billion yuan, or 0.15 yuan, a year ago, the Beijing-based company said in a statement to the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
