QL sale of Lay Hong shares irks market

Yap: ‘I think it would be good for Lay Hong to have a bigger spread of shareholders instead of having one entity holding a big stake in the company.’

PETALING JAYA: The RM61mil worth of Lay Hong Bhd shares that were sold last week by QL Resources Bhd were acquired by a group of high net worth individuals, sources said.

The identity of the said individuals are yet to be known, but the transaction involving QL Resources’ disposal of its entire block of 19.87 million shares in Lay Hong, seems to have irked the market.
