Pressure on AirAsia’s earnings


AIRASIA Bhd shares have been on a roller coaster ride the past months, wiping off millions of ringgit in market capitalisation. The stock is now trading below RM1 at 87.5 sen a share and that has come as a surprise to many.

The airline’s shares have been under pressure for some time. Starting with a report by GMT Research that raised questions about related party transactions, the company’s second quarter financial results did not help.
