Ringgit eases against US dollar


KUALA LUMPUR: The ringgit opened lower against the US dollar in early trade on Thursday as investors' interest shifted towards the greenback.

A dealer said while optimism on the ringgit was seen slowly building up, the greenback managed get the upper hand after the US Federal Reserve policy makers left the door open for a September interest-rate hike.
