KLCI stages rebounds, Sunway Construction in focus


Sunway Construction rose three sen to RM1.23 with some 129 million shares done between RM1.22 and RM1.32.

PetChem rose six sen to RM6.41 and Sapura Kencana one sen to RM2.39.

PPB Group fell 10 sen to RM18.84 but Sime Darby rose seven sen to RM8.56.

Tenaga rose four sen to RM12.28.

US light crude oil fell 15 cents to US$47.24

Brent fell 33 cents to US$53.14
 
Crude palm oil for third-month delivery fell RM6 to RM2,134
 
The ringgit strengthened against the dollar at 3.8142 from 3.8200 the previous close

Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index rose 1.52% to 24,721.29
 
Shanghai’s Composite Index fell 1% to 3,688.48

South Korea’s Kospi fell 0.16% to 2,035.50
 
Singapore’s Straits Times Index fell 0.59% to 3,293
 
Spot gold rose US$1.59 to US$1,095.57
