Leading Index down 1.2% in May


KUALA LUMPUR: The Leading Index (LI), which monitors the economic performance in advance, showed a decrease of 1.2% in May 2015 to 117.2 points from 118.6 points in the previous month.

The decline was led by two main components of LI - real imports of other basic precious and other non-ferrous metal (-0.7%) and a number of new companies registered (-0.6%).
