Malaysian palm oil/Vegoils: Market factors to watch Friday July 3

KUALA LUMPUR: The following factors are likely to influence Malaysian palm oil futures and other vegetable oil markets on Friday July 3.

FUNDAMENTALS
* Malaysian palm oil reversed earlier losses to end flat on Thursday tracking other vegetable
oils while a weak ringgit and concerns over an El Nino weather pattern provided support.
* U.S. corn futures rose to a six-month peak on Thursday, adding to strong gains earlier in the
week as adverse weather in parts of the U.S. Midwest and Western Europe threatened crops.
* Crude oil prices ended little changed on Thursday as the first weekly gain in the U.S. rig
count this year pared earlier gains.

MARKET NEWS
* The U.S. dollar index fell from a three-week high on Thursday as a weaker than expected U.S.
payrolls report lowered chances of a U.S. interest rate hike come September, while Wall Street
and world stock markets ended little changed after a volatile week.
