BCorp plans to sell indirect units


PETALING JAYA: Berjaya Corp Bhd is proposing to dispose of two indirect units, Berjaya Bandartex Sdn Bhd (BBandartex) and Berjaya Knitex Sdn Bhd (BKnitex), as well as a piece of land in Batu Pahat, Johor for RM30mil to Ramatex Bhd.

The company said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia that BBandartex manufatures garments while BKnitex manufatures and sells knitted, dyed and finished fabrics and sewing thread. The company added that the land was disposed off for RM2.26mil or RM53.68 per sq ft.
