Palm oil/Vegoils: Market factors to watch Thursday April 2

KUALA LUMPUR: The following factors are likely to influence Malaysian palm oil futures and other vegetable oil markets on Thursday April 2.

FUNDAMENTALS
* Malaysian palm oil futures edged lower on Wednesday as worries over increased
production and a stronger ringgit dampened buying.
* U.S. soybean futures jumped 1.6 percent on Wednesday, their third straight day
of gains, as the U.S. government's forecast for smaller-than-expected plantings
of the oilseed continued to fuel buying.
* Oil jumped as much as 5 percent on Wednesday, snapping a three-session losing
streak, as U.S. crude output fell for the first time in two months and the
government announced a smaller-than-feared rise in weekly stockpiles.

MARKET NEWS
* U.S. stocks fell for a second day on Wednesday and the dollar dipped after
weak U.S. private sector employment and manufacturing data fed worries about the
U.S. economy ahead of a highly anticipated jobs report Friday.
