BASF Petronas to set up world-scale plant

PETALING JAYA: BASF Petronas Chemicals Sdn Bhd, a joint venture between German chemical company BASF SE and Petronas Chemicals Group Bhd, will build a new world-scale production plant for 2-Ethylhexanoic Acid (2-EHAcid) at the site of their existing plant in Kuantan.

Construction of the plant, the first of its kind within the Asean region, is expected to commence in the second quarter of this year.
