PETALING JAYA: British American Tobacco (M) Bhd (BAT) said its net profit for the fourth quarter ended Dec 31, 2014 slipped 2% to RM185.53mil from RM189.93mil in the same quarter a year ago, despite higher revenue at RM1.206bil.
Full-year net profit posted an 8.7% increase to RM898.13mil from RM825.77mil, while revenue grew 6% to RM4.796bil, driven by the cumulative pricing impact of the June 2013 price increase and the excise-led price increases in September 2013 and November 2014 within Malaysia.
