KUALA LUMPUR: Healthcare demand is expected to grow resiliently this year supported by global population growth, ageing demographics and more affluent community, according to Hong Leong Investment Bank Research (HLIB).
It said the United Nations’ Department of Economics and Social Affairs had forecasted world population to reach 9.6 billion in 2050 and 10.9 billion in 2100, respectively, fuelled by positive growth in all regions, except for Europe.
