PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Iron and Steel Industry Federation (Misif) has urged the Government to lower electricity tariffs so that Malaysia can avoid losing its competitive edge in Asean and global markets.
“We understand that other countries such as Singapore and Thailand have already lowered their electricity tariffs to boost their domestic industries and enhance the competitiveness of manufacturers,” president Datuk Soh Thian Lai said in a statement yesterday.
