PETALING JAYA: The local retail sector is expected to register steady sales growth in the final quarter of 2014 and first quarter of 2015, buoyed by the Christmas and Chinese New Year (CNY) festive holidays.
Sales are also expected to be good in the first quarter of 2015 as consumers are expected to make more purchases leading to the implementation of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) in April next year, says Malaysian Association for Shopping and High-rise Complex Management past-president Richard Chan.
