MMC-Gamuda wins award for technical innovation

KUALA LUMPUR: MMC-Gamuda has won the Technical Innovation of the Year Award for the Variable Density Tunnel Boring Machine (VD TBM) that overcame major MRT tunnelling challenges posed by the karstic limestone formation in Kuala Lumpur.

The annual award was held on Thursday in London under the auspices of the London-based New Civil Engineer (the official journal of the UK-based Institution of Civil Engineers) and Switzerland-based International Tunnelling and Underground Space Association, which pay tribute to excellence in the delivery of international tunnelling and underground space projects.
