UAE looking at Asian companies to boost oil and gas production

KUALA LUMPUR: United Arab Emirates (UAE) is increasingly turning to its Asian partners in its quest to boost oil and gas production as the nation continues to allow more foreign partners into its marginal fields.

This was reflected at the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference 2014 held from Nov 10 to Nov 13 where 15 Malaysian oil and gas companies managed to generate sales worth RM1.49bil, according to Malaysia External Trade Development Corp (Matrade) in a statement yesterday.
