Teraju creates RM46.5bil worth of business

Husni: ‘We expect two more companies to be listed by year-end’.

KUALA LUMPUR: The Government’s Bumiputra Agenda Steering Unit (Teraju) established in 2011, has created some RM46.5bil worth of business opportunities, financing and human capital development for bumiputras as at June this year.

“These opportunities were made available via Teraju’s collaboration with the private sector, government-linked investment companies (GLICs), government-linked companies (GLCs) and various government agencies,” said its chief executive officer Husni Salleh at an editors’ briefing prior to the official launch of Teraju’s maiden Bumiputra Economic Empowerment report card and BisNest, a one-stop online reference centre for bumiputra entrepreneurs by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak yesterday.
