Bank Negara: No inflationary impact following petrol subsidy removal

Zeti: ‘It is good for the consumers because they can benefit from the lower prices.’

KUALA LUMPUR: The abolishment of subsidies for RON95 and diesel will not have inflationary impact on the economy, says Bank Negara governor Tan Sri Dr Zeti Akhtar Aziz.

“This is a very positive development that would not have inflationary consequences because oil prices are softening,” she said.
