Earnings of media companies seen under pressure


PETALING JAYA: The earnings of media companies are expected to come under pressure due to companies adopting a cautious stance on expenditure, including advertising expenditure (adex), for various reasons.

Kenanga Research said the adex sentiment was expected to remain cloudy, in view of the recent petrol price hike and on-going subsidy rationalisation plans that has proven to be a dampener to the already weak consumer spending.
