KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia’s exports rose by RM1.2bil or 2% year-on-year to RM64.5bil, while imports increased 1.1% (RM594.8mil) to RM55.2bil as trade with India, the US, Singapore and Indonesia grew, according to the Department of Statistic.
Total trade in September was valued at RM119.7bil – an improvement of 1.6% or RM1.8bil from September 2013. However, compared to August, trade was down RM4.2bil or 3.4%.
