THE much-talked-about goods and services tax (GST) will also be imposed on a higher consumption of electricity, but not on subsidised petrol usage such as RON95, diesel and liquefied petroleum gas.
For electricity, the GST will be imposed on consumption after the first 300 units of electricity, which is an increase from the 200 units of electricity announced last year. But there is a special category for RON95 petrol.
