KUALA LUMPUR: The FBM KLCI closed higher on Friday, but off the day’s best, on local fund buying of Tenaga Nasional and Axiata while the broader market showed some signs of weakening investor sentiment ahead of the extended weekend.
At 5pm, the FBM KLCI was up 3.14 points or 0.17% to 1,840.82. Turnover was 1.70 billion shares valued at RM1.50bil. There were 367 gainers, 408 losers and 349 counters unchanged.
