Petronas looks into producing chemicals in Sabah


KUALA LUMPUR: Petronas Chemicals Group Bhd (PCG), Grupa Azoty Zaklady Azotowe “Pulawy” S.A. (Pulawy) and Sipitang Oil & Gas Development Corp Sdn Bhd (SOGDC) have inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to conduct a joint feasibility study for the production of urea and ammonia derivatives at the Sipitang Oil & Gas Industrial Park in Sabah.

PCG president/chief executive officer Sazali Hamzah signed the MoU with Pulawy and SOGDC in the presence of Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman on Monday. Pulawy was represented by the company’s president Marian Rybak, while SOGDC was represented by general manager Kadir Abdullah.
