Unisem returns to profitability

PETALING JAYA: Unisem (M) Bhd returned to the black with net profit of RM10.84mil for the second quarter ended June 30, against a net loss of RM4.2mil in the same quarter a year ago.

Unisem said in its announcement to Bursa Malaysia that the improved net profit came from the change in product mix, lower overhead costs in PT Unisem post restructuring exercise, grant income, and lower interest expense.
