Petronas-Yayasan Sabah JV begins operations for second generating block


KOTA KINABALU: Petronas Group said its unit Kimanis Power Sdn Bhd (KPSB) has achieved the commercial operations for its second block of its Kimanis Power Plant (KPP) on July 22, 2014.

The second block is expected to add an additional 95 MW of electricity to the Sabah grid, in addition to the 95 MW already generated by the first block, which started operating on May 16, 2014, it said in a statement on Friday.
