Maybank's BII reports lower profit


PETALING JAYA: PT Bank Internasional Indonesia Tbk (BII) reported an increase in operating profit before provisions for the six months ended June 30 to 1.3 trillion rupiah (about RM351mil) compared with 1.2 trillion rupiah in the same period last year.

Net profit after tax and minority interest (PATAMI) for the six months ended June 30 reached 336 billion rupiah while profit before tax stood at 511 billion rupiah, compared with 681 billion rupiah and 966 billion rupiah in June 2013.
