PETALING JAYA: More mergers and acquisitions (M&As) sparked by the entry of foreign players and the impending abolition of statutory tariffs in motor insurance are expected to further fuel competition in the Malaysian insurance landscape.
RAM Rating Services head of insurance ratings Julie Ng said the M&As, which took place between 2010 and 2014, have increasingly, involved large established foreign partners.
