SINGAPORE: Gold was steady near a four-month high on Monday, supported by safe-haven buying from escalating tensions in the Middle East and lingering worries over Portugal's biggest bank.
Spot gold was little changed at US$1,338.20 an ounce by 0034 GMT. It posted its sixth straight weekly gain on Friday.
