Prasarana to operate MRT line

KUALA LUMPUR: The Government has decided that Syarikat Prasarana Negara Bhd (Prasarana) will be the operator of Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Sungai Buloh-Kajang Line 1. In a statement yesterday, the Ministry of Finance said MRT Transit Corp Sdn Bhd (MRT Corp) was the owner and developer of the line.

Phase 1, comprising the building of the line from Sungai Buloh to Semantan, was expected to be ready and operational by Dec 31, 2016, it said. It said Phase 2, from Semantan to Kajang, was expected to be ready and operational by July 31, 2017. – Bernama
