One-time gain swells DRB-Hicom earnings

PETALING JAYA: DRB-Hicom Bhd posted a 136% jump in net profit to RM167mil in the last quarter ended March 31 compared with RM70.6mil made a year ago, as the company booked the one-time gain from the disposal of its insurance business and several parcels of land in Johor.

Revenue rose 24% to RM4.2bil for the quarter from RM3.4bil previously.
