Khalid: Compulsory acquisition of water concessionaire only as a measure of last resort


SHAH ALAM: The Selangor state government expects to take full control of all water assets in the state within six months during which the law that allows compulsory acquisition of the resisting water concessionaire would only be invoked as a measure of last resort.

Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim said that the state had submitted an action plan to the Federal government to ensure the process of restructuring the water industry in the state took place immediately.
